Stunning building, fabulous staff, decor great ..but...the hot breakfast buffet was cold every day. The heating in the room was noisy, the gutter outside the room dripped all night. Not quite finished to high standard expected for the price...light bulb over sink was bare, shower products not good, shower head just at an awkward angle. Also, terrible smell of sulphur or drains downstairs. No wellness facilities. A real shame, has potential but came up short.

We booked the superior/deluxe room by groupon because it was an offer with a dinner in their restaurant. The hotel on booking and all websites is supposed to be „ANIMAL FRIENDLY”, and there was NO INFORMATION that we need to contact before arriving with a dog. When we came to Tuscany to the hotel they told us that we cannot stay with a dog in the room that we paid for (!!!) because there is wód on the floor and the dog can scratch it. Because of that they moved us to a DIFFERENT PART of the building to the cheapest CLASSIC room (!!!) even though we paid for superior/deluxe. I checked their website, checked groupon, booking and there is NO INFORMATION that the dogs cannot stay in other room than Classic. So they expect you to pay full price for better room, and after you arrive they put you to the cheapest Classic without anything as „sorry”. Really, in such a situation a bottle of wine or anything could solve it, but they just didnt gave a damn. That was the worst customer service experience for me. The lady at the front desk was like „sorry this are our rules” and even when I was saying „but it is not written anywhere! How are we supposed to know?!” She replied with „you should have called us to ask if the dog can stay in superior/deluxe room so we would have told you that it cannot”. You claim you are ANIMALS FRIENDLY and there are no info about any exceptions so how are we supposed to know? It should be written! Terrible, just terrible. Dont recommend anyone.

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel last minute from Rome, eager to experience the magical history of Tuscany. How lucky were we to experience this truly charming, hospitable place. From stepping in to walking out I give this hotel an over 5 star rating! Jean Luigi gave us the scoop on the must see locations in southern Tuscany (having only 1 night) and my boyfriend and I were absolutely blown away thanks to his great advice. He treated us like family, as well as the rest of the staff. An incredible experience I will remember for the rest of my life! I recommend this Hotel to anyone who goes to the southern region of Tuscany.

This is a beautiful hotel just off the Chuisi exit of the A1. The grounds are very nice and there are 2 restaraunts. We always go to the Trattoria which is more casual and has a grill. In many years amd many visits we have never had a bad meal. Not even a bad item. This is one of our favourite places of all time. It's a little more pricy than other Trattoria but the quality is very high.
